Upholstery Workshop (footstools, drop-in seats etc.)This full-day workshop is for those of you with little or no experience, or for those of you with experience but little time, who wish to upholster a small piece of furniture. A dining room drop-in chair, footstool, ottoman or piano stool would be an ideal project for this workshop Depending on your expertise, you will be introduced to the basic traditional and modern upholstery techniques and tools, and guided through the process of 'stripping', 're-upholstering' and 're-covering' your furniture item You will need to bring your own furniture project to work on, including the fabric for the top cover. Tools will be provided for use on the day, and all other upholstery materials will be available for purchase on the day if required. A notepad and camera are also useful to record the stages of your work, and if you have any of your own tools please bring them along too Refreshments are provided but please bring a packed lunch. There are a limited number of places for this workshop so we advise booking early to ensure you guarantee a slot We advise you to discuss your project when you make your booking and if you have any questions we will hopefully answer them prior to the day!
