Rag Rugging

Come and spend the day learning how to make a fabulous rag rug! Here's one workshop where you can really make something from nothing! If you bring along a selection of old clothes, bed linen, tablecloths, t-shirts etc. (not towelling) - even denim or blankets are fine

One thing to keep in mind is that it is easier to use similar weight fabrics. Using cottons and denim make it easy to throw your rug in the washer as well!

If you like you can cut some fabrics ahead of the workshop - just cut them to approx 2cm (0.75") by 10 - 11cm (4" - 4.5"). You'll be able to make a heart shape or square/rectangular shape rug as we have a selection of shapes for the bases for you to choose from

This popular workshop is very relaxing, and if you can use a pair of scissors, then you can make a rag rug!

As this is an all day workshop please bring a packed lunch as well as a sharp pair of scissors, plus your fabric. You will be provided with sacking, peg, needle and thread, extra clothing to choose from as well as design ideas
